10. Gideon Henry James³ Riedy (Gideon Switzer², John Gideon¹) (#132) was born India 22 DEC 1867. Gideon died 16 FEB 1950 Dehra Dun, India, at 82 years of age.

He married twice. He married Harriet Helen Marriot Sialkot, India, 28 DEC 1895. (Harriet Helen Marriot is #133.) Harriet was born 22 DEC 1875. Harriet died 20 OCT 1906 Quetta, Baluchistan, at 30 years of age.⁽¹¹⁾ He married new Riedy India, 1 JAN 1908. (new Riedy is #434.) a Roman Catholic. As family were devout Anglican this caused a family rift

He was baptized Multan Pakistan, 16 January 1868. Religion: religion unknown. Permanent Way inspector NW Rly

28 i. Kathleen Helen Laura⁴ Riedy (#134) was born 15 AUG 1897. Kathleen died 20 JAN 1971 Lahore, Pakistan, at 73 years of age. She married Hugh Owen Douglas Brown Lahore, Pakistan, 15 AUG 1928. (Hugh Owen Douglas Brown is #235.) Hugh was born 14 JUL 1887. Hugh was the son of William Henry Brown and Cecilia Bridget Wood. Hugh died 15 APR 1964 at 76 years of age.

29 ii. Sidney Marriott Riedy (#135) was born 9 OCT 1899. Sidney died 27 FEB 1950 at 50 years of age. He married Laura Spencer. (Laura Spencer is #263.) In 1948 Sidney travelled to London to look at records there, and then on to the Newcastle West Riedys in an attempt to compile a family tree. This he took back to Bulawayo, Rhodesia.

30 iii. Wilfred Henry Riedy (#136) was born place missing from library 2 OCT 1904. He married Phyllis Margaret Mandalay, 1929. (Phyllis Margaret is #137.)

Wilfred's occupation: Enginee Burma, 1936. He emigrated, 1 JAN 1950. Point of origin: Burma.
