She married John Brethour. (John Brethour reference 3437) (John Brethour is #3431.) John was born April 4, 1810. John died March 10, 1847 in Brock Township, Ontario, at 36 years of age.

Eliza Shier and John Brethour had the following children:

193 i. Mary⁶ Brethour reference 4046 (#4040) was born October 9, 1837. Mary died July 17, 1889 in Sunderland, Ontario, at 51 years of age. Her body was interred in St.john Cemetery, Sunderland, Ontario.

194 ii. William Brethour reference 4047 (#4041) was born June 16, 1839. William died October 19, 1840 in Sunderland, Ontario, at 1 year of age. His body was interred in St.john Cemetery, Sunderland, Ontario.

195 iii. James E. Brethour reference 4048 (#4042) was born August 22, 1841. James died January 2, 1929 in Sunderland, Ontario, at 87 years of age. His body was interred in St.john Cemetery, Sunderland, Ontario.
