Sarah was the daughter of Samuel Moore and Ellen Carson. Sarah died January 19, 1910 in Udney, Ontario, at 71 years of age. Obit...Udney: The death of Mrs. Charles Speiran, senior on Wednesday last was very sad, Mrs Speiran was in her usual health, but happened to slip on the ice near the back door, fell on her back, and struck her head with such force as to cause a fatal concussion of the brain. Mrs Speiran was in her seventy-third year. She had a large family, numbering eleven in all -- six sons and five daughters. All live in this vicinity, and all are married. Sincere sympathy is felt for Mr. Speiran and the other members of the family. The funeral, on Friday, was a very large one, particularly considering the stormy weather. Moved to Toronto after the family were grown up and lived with his daughter Hazel and her husband Fred Juffs above their bakeshop at 1158 Danforth Ave., worked for a lumber company until his inability to read or write and keep records forced his out of his job. Kept the farm and returned there most summers for the rest of his life.
